Marla Hylton is a seasoned Divorce Mediator. She has been mediating & co-mediating divorces for the past 10 years. She is also a Clinical Therapist and the Owner of a private therapy practice, Calico Counseling LLC. After working
with divorcing families in the arena of Mediation & Therapy she recognized the value and impact of quality divorce education.
Marli Emenhiser MSM, LBSW, Mediator
Marli Emenhiser is a registered Mediator with a Master’s Degree in Science Management (Business). Marli is the owner of Neutral Ground Solutions a company that provides Parenting Coordination (PC), Child Inclusive Mediation, and parent education services. She enjoys working with children and families and is a strong advocate for educating couples before they start the divorce process.

Divorce Education Classes
As Mediators both Marla and Marli have been approached by clients, friends and family who are facing divorce and have a lot of questions. The questions range from how long will my divorce last to should I stop talking to my spouse. The divorce process can be intimidating and it’s difficult to know where to start. Marla and Marli will discuss the different avenues of divorce, what a person needs to know before they divorce and walk them through the process of divorce. The on-line class will be a 2 hour educational presentation about the divorce process. This class is not intended for couples although if both people want to attend a class they are welcome to register. The class is offered once a month and is stand alone class, not a series of classes.
Intended audience
This class is intended for people interested in learning about the divorce process and those considering divorce in the state of Indiana. If you are a professional working with couples or clients this class would be a good opportunity for you to learn about the process of divorce in order to help educate your clients. This class would not be applicable to a person who is already divorced.
Class Objectives
-The process of divorce through self-serve, the court system and mediation
-What decisions need to be made in a divorce
-The emotional roller coaster and what you can do
-How to help children going through a divorce
-Tips for a peaceful divorce
-Referrals to help you through
Cost
The cost of the class is $65 per person. You must register and pay through this website at least 48 hours before the class starts. No refunds, no exceptions.
Location
All classes will be held on-line through Zoom. Once you register a zoom link will be emailed to you. You will need to utilize both audio and video to attend. Participants must be visible during the training by using the video portion of Zoom. We will not allow participants to call in on their phones with no video.
*Please make sure you make arrangements to virtually attend in a way children will not be able to hear or see the presentation. If the Trainers can see or hear children you may be asked to log off the online class or be virtually removed by the trainers.
